11/8/2023 0 Comments Pale moon browser android![]() These requirements differ slightly across different operating systems: There are minimum system requirements for running this browser. It can run from an extracted tarball, much like an appimage. What's more is that Pale Moon need not be formally "installed" to run on Linux systems. It also features a portable version (not to be confused with a mobile version - there is no mobile support for Pale Moon as of writing) that can be run from removable media such as a USB stick. Pale Moon is available on Windows and most Linux platforms. It seems that Pale Moon's independence, customizability, and a belief in its UXP platform remain its main draws. ![]() Pale Moon forked from Firefox as early as Firefox 1.5.x, however it took years for it to grow and mature to the project it is currently. (But that's probably where the similarities end!) Pale Moon is an older fork than Waterfox and has completely moved in a different direction than other Firefox forks it currently uses its own engine, Goanna and its own platform, UXP. Somewhat similar to the Waterfox browser, Pale Moon has very humble beginnings. Truthfully, you can say that Pale Moon is its own independent product, completely separated from Mozilla Firefox despite its origin. Moving on, let's establish that Pale Moon is a hard fork of pre-Australis Firefox. Pale Moon is a very interesting browser with a very long history.īut first, I should clarify: Pale Moon is not just another "outdated and insecure Firefox fork." Sources that claim this about Pale Moon are probably, at least for the most part, misinformed. It's the fastest style in the game, the swing is instant, and fast. The only disadvangave for this style is that if the opponent changes to red and there is a saber confilct, he willl win and damage you.īlue is not mutch used but is fun. (Most of the player a saw with this style do like a counter offensive strategy, they wait for you to attack and then hit you and step back) This style is good to finish the opponent, when you see or guess he is low, you can last hit him with this. This style can be used a lot cause you can evade and attack right after, also is the most used style for fanning. It's fast enought to be almos instant and does good damage. Yellow is an average style between red and blue. Swings are slow, there is a long delay between the attack imput and the saber movement, so when a swing is about to end you have your guard not protected, also this style requires a lot of precision in movement and cordination, if you attack too early the swing is easily dodgeable if too late you can be get off guard. The swings with this style have long range. The red style is capable of doing a lot of damage, if a swing hit the opponent almost completely you can kill him instantly, also the swings are slow and giuves you time to move your mouse arount and adjust the swing to hit the enemy. Every style has a chance of guard breaking, Red style can break the yellow and yellow can break blue.(im not sure of this, also every server uses his custom rules and settings for the game and some things can be different depending of whitch server are you playing) The swings range is increased with the power of the style. The style changes the durations and speed of the swings. One can make multiple swing one after the other by pressing WASD buttons and attack after a swing ends. So you can press A and attack button, in that way you will to a swing right to left, same way if you press D, swing left to right. The saber combat mechanincs are a combinations of stiles and direction oriended swings. (Apologies if anyone is offended by my including Dark Forces and Mysteries of the Sith, but I felt that some people would be happier that they would be available to vote on rather than left out because they're not considered "real" Jedi Knight games.Well im gonna tell you just some basics tips. ![]() Jedi Academy's vignette-style story is more like a serialized TV show with characters from the films showing up in each episode, and it just came across more light-hearted and fun than Outcast's long plot to defeat Desann. I replayed Jedi Outcast yesterday and its levels and platforming can be overly long and exhausting with some pretty drab levels (Nar Shadaa, the mining colony, all 3 Doomgiver levels) and I didn't care much for Kyle Katarn. It has much more freedom with a character creator that finally allows you to play as an non-human Jedi (or a woman for that matter), it lets you customize the look of the Jaden protagonist, it gives you 3 different saber options (single, dual, double-bladed), and the missions are short but also each of them are very unique and memorable. Personally, I enjoy replaying Jedi Academy more. However, Jedi Academy did introduce a number of new features to the lightsaber combat that also enabled the multiplayer battles to be more dynamic and popular with the modding community creating some exceptional mods and game modes that live on to this day. At the time of release, Jedi Outcast was better received than Jedi Academy with many 9's and 10's in PC gaming magazines, whereas Jedi Academy was more around 8s and 9s. Since then, the Raven games have been fondly remembered and still played today on multiplayer, where both games even received a PS4 and Switch release in 2017. Using the idtech 3 engine, Jedi Outcast was extremely successful and Raven outdid themselves and even managed to squeeze out the still alive and kicking Jedi Academy only a year later in 2003. Then Raven took over with Jedi Outcast in 2002 with Activision publishing it. Its expansion Mysteries of the Sith also saw the famous Mara Jade getting her one and only game that I posted how surprisingly entertaining it was when I played it last year. The game received very high scores and commercial success, but its early 3D presentation and clunky AI might put some people off today. In 1997, Lucasarts' Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight saw an evolution from the original Doom-ike Dark Forces to a 3D game with a lot of verticality in its level design, but more importantly force powers and a lightsaber. Dark Forces might not be considered a Jedi Knight game, but it's still considered one of the best Doom clones at the time and it saw fans latching on to more Star Wars stories almost a decade later after the movie trilogy had ended with elaborating on how the Death Star plans were acquired for the original Star Wars. ![]() 11/8/2023 0 Comments Ran onlinenorth america![]() ![]() The “Cascadia” part of its name comes from the Cascade Range, a chain of volcanic mountains that follow the same course a hundred or so miles inland. Known as the Cascadia subduction zone, it runs for seven hundred miles off the coast of the Pacific Northwest, beginning near Cape Mendocino, California, continuing along Oregon and Washington, and terminating around Vancouver Island, Canada. Just north of the San Andreas, however, lies another fault line. ![]() For the San Andreas, one of the most extensively studied and best understood fault lines in the world, that upper limit is roughly an 8.2-a powerful earthquake, but, because the Richter scale is logarithmic, only six per cent as strong as the 2011 event in Japan. Every fault line has an upper limit to its potency, determined by its length and width, and by how far it can slip. Most people in the United States know just one fault line by name: the San Andreas, which runs nearly the length of California and is perpetually rumored to be on the verge of unleashing “the big one.” That rumor is misleading, no matter what the San Andreas ever does. But for Chris Goldfinger, a paleoseismologist at Oregon State University and one of the world’s leading experts on a little-known fault line, the main quake was itself a kind of foreshock: a preview of another earthquake still to come. The shaking earlier in the week turned out to be the foreshocks of the largest earthquake in the nation’s recorded history. In the end, the magnitude-9.0 Tohoku earthquake and subsequent tsunami killed more than eighteen thousand people, devastated northeast Japan, triggered the meltdown at the Fukushima power plant, and cost an estimated two hundred and twenty billion dollars. Thirty minutes after Goldfinger first stepped outside, he watched the tsunami roll in, in real time, on a two-inch screen. One of them pulled out a cell phone and started streaming videos from the Japanese broadcasting station NHK, shot by helicopters that had flown out to sea soon after the shaking started. Almost immediately, though, it became extremely uncool, because Goldfinger and every other seismologist standing outside in Kashiwa knew what was coming. Now, Goldfinger realized as the shaking hit the four-minute mark, the planet was proving the Japanese Cassandra right.įor a moment, that was pretty cool: a real-time revolution in earthquake science. The presentation was met with polite applause and thereafter largely ignored. In 2005, however, at a conference in Hokudan, a Japanese geologist named Yasutaka Ikeda had argued that the nation should expect a magnitude 9.0 in the near future-with catastrophic consequences, because Japan’s famous earthquake-and-tsunami preparedness, including the height of its sea walls, was based on incorrect science. For decades, seismologists had believed that Japan could not experience an earthquake stronger than magnitude 8.4. Oh, shit, Goldfinger thought, although not in dread, at first: in amazement. His watch swept past the three-minute mark and kept going. He thought better of it, and lurched away. The base was lurching, too, back and forth a foot at a time, digging a trench in the yard. The building itself was base-isolated, a seismic-safety technology in which the body of a structure rests on movable bearings rather than directly on its foundation. The flagpole atop the building he and his colleagues had just vacated was whipping through an arc of forty degrees. The trees, still hung with the previous autumn’s dead leaves, were making a strange rattling sound. It was, Goldfinger thought, like driving through rocky terrain in a vehicle with no shocks, if both the vehicle and the terrain were also on a raft in high seas. The earth snapped and popped and rippled. Nor, from the feel of it, was there ground on the ground. There was a chill in the air, and snow flurries, but no snow on the ground. At a minute and a half, everyone in the room got up and went outside. Goldfinger, who is tall and solidly built, thought, No way am I crouching under one of those for cover. The seats in the conference room were small plastic desks with wheels. Then it ticked past the sixty-second mark, making it longer than the others that week. The earthquake was not particularly strong. The speaker at the lectern was wondering if he should carry on with his talk. The conference was wrapping up for the day. When Goldfinger looked at his watch, it was quarter to three. ![]() 11/8/2023 0 Comments Pillars of eternity map bug fix![]() ![]() I have had a few lag hiccups with the music. This is what I have encountered in almost 100 hours. Hell, POE isn't even as buggy as the Baldurs Gate games were upon release.Īll in all this game is not really all that buggy. Every time they release a patch to fix them they add a few new ones.Įvery Elder Scrolls game disagrees with you. Is there anything I can do to revent this non-stop bug from happening again or am I going to be forced to just stop playing this game? Maybe it's not a big deal to most but I really wanted to build the entire base and I have not run into this problem with any of the other buildings it's only the Warden Lodge that keeps getting bugged out.Originally posted by sersafir:This is one of the most bug-filled games in the history of RPGs. I'm just curious if anyone else is having this issue with the Warden Lodge or if it's just me because I rushed through the first chapter to pick up all the companions up until Greiving Mother? The game is so fun and enjoyable but this Warden Lodge bug is really making me not want to continue playing cause it seems to matter what I do after building it it goes into this constant state ofīandit attack>auto reslove>destroyed>pay for repairs>it does nothing>click rebuild for 1000>it takes my money and does nothing>Warden Lodge still broken even though I have all the bounty hunting quests picked up? It just stays broken with a never ending loop of asking me to rebuild it, every time I finish re-building it or paying the taxes to fix everything after auto-resloving bandit attacks it doesn't do anything, the lodge doesn't come back even though I picked up the bounty quests, every time I leave Caed Nua after re-building it and come back, it's still destroyed and asks me to spend another 1000 to build it again. It just stays "destroyed" and no amount of paying for repairs or rebuilding the entire thing seems to fix the issue. The exact same thing is happening every time I auto-resolve (because I can't beat them with my party right now) they destroy my lodge and when they do it bugs out and will not seem to come back with paying for the repairs or re-building it. Well yesterday I got to the same part, playing the same way and the bandit pop up happened again after building the Warden Lodge. So I thought great my two hour playthrough needs to be deleted cause of this bug cause what's the point of continuing to play with a bugged out warden lodge? So I deleted my playthrough was mad for a day then restarted the same character/build to try again. The Warden Lodge was still not showing up on the map and the building list still has it listed to build for 1000 even though I had built it twice and taken all four available bounty quests. Well when I did, my lodge remianed broken meaning when I clicked on the building list it still showed up has having to be rebuilt for 1000, the starting price to build it is 1400 which I thought was wierd so I just clicked rebuild, ran around the map for 2 days to complete it then went back to the base after it had finished. I clicked auto reslove because at my party's level I simply cannot kill 6 bandits with an under-leveled party and when I did that they destroyed my warden lodge so I thought no biggie I'll just pay the 300 to fix it up. I went back to Guilded Vale to start picking up the quests I skipped, did a bunch then went back to base because I had an alert that bandits were going to attack so I went there and picked up the bounty hunter quests since I was already in the area. I got to Caed Nua beat up what's his face, built the barracade then starting building the warden lodge. I skipped past most of the quests in order to recruit all the non-expansion companions so I could "start" playing the game with a full party. A few days ago I started this "final decision" playthrough. Is anyone else having this issue? I have played for nearly 40 hours restarting characters and trying out different things until I found a build/character I enjoyed playing. ![]() 11/8/2023 0 Comments Blueprint door symbol![]() Because India ink (the ink used in the drawings) blocks the UV light, the coating behind the drawings does not go through the photoreaction and remains soluble. During this light exposure, the ultra-violet light is transmitted through the tracing paper converting the light sensitive coating to a stable blue or black dye. This process is called cyanotype and creates the blue coated paper ready for drawing reproduction.Īrchitects and engineers would draw their designs on cartridge paper, which are then traced onto tracing paper, and then the tracing paper is placed on the sensitised paper, clamped under glass, and exposed to daylight in an exposure frame. A solution of potassium ferricyanide is used to develop the image – this forms an insoluble ferroferricyanide (Prussian blue or Turnbell’s blue) – and then the excess chemicals are washed off. Upon exposure to light, a photoreaction occurs turning the trivalent ferric iron into divalent ferrous iron. The sheet is then saturated with ammonium ferric citrate solution and dried. The blueprint process starts off with a photosensitive ferric compound, usually the widely used ammonium ferric citrate and potassium ferricyanide. The blueprints presented as negative drawings or illustrations of the original as white lines on a blue background.
